A map, not a measurement
Gateway Focus Levels name stages within the program. The labels help listeners follow guidance and discuss their experiences. They are not clinical diagnoses or grades of personal development.

Begin with the foundations
Focus 10 is described by the program as a relaxed-body, alert-mind state. Focus 12 is described as expanded awareness. These are the program’s experiential terms, not proof of a specific brain state.
Learn through repetition
Follow the introduction in your edition. Repeat an exercise if you want more familiarity, record your observations and avoid comparing yourself to dramatic reports online.
Further stages
Later recordings introduce additional labels and exercises. Read the official instructions for their intended sequence. Advancing through numbers is not a requirement for a valuable relaxation practice.
